Responsibilities include coordinating study start-up and ongoing activities such as IRB submissions, participant recruitment and retention, scheduling, communications, regulatory compliance, data management, participant payments, and study documentation. The coordinator will assist with database and web-based assessment management, support project workflows and team meetings, track study progress, and contribute to recruitment, reporting, manuscript preparation, and dissemination activities. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced research environment. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required. Remote work may be available depending on project needs, with some in-person responsibilities required.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance and Reporting: Maintains regulatory documentation and study records, ensures adherence to NIH and institutional requirements, supports preparation of progress reports, and assists with audit readiness and compliance monitoring activities.Project Administration:Coordinates all project start-up activities including IRB submissions and modifications, development and finalization of study protocols and materials, preparation of regulatory documentation, and establishment of study procedures, workflows, and compliance systems in accordance with NIH and institutional requirements. Supports and implements recruitment strategies, communicates with potential participants, and maintains ongoing participant engagement and retention efforts. Manages day-to-day study operations including scheduling, coordination with the PI and research team, tracking study progress and milestones, and ensuring smooth implementation of all research activities. Assists with budget tracking, purchasing, and procurement of study-related supplies and materials as needed. Ensures culturally and linguistically appropriate outreach and communication given bilingual (Spanish/English) requirements.Performs Other Duties as Assigned Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in social work, public health, psychology, political science, or a related social science or health-related field. One (1) year of experience in research, program, or administrative coordination. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required (spoken and written).Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with IRB processes, participant recruitment in community-based or clinical research settings, and experience working with diverse and underserved populations. Strong budgeting, procurement, and administrative coordination experience a plus.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work independently and effectively within a team dynamic.Ability to conduct daily operations with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, and set priorities against deadlines.Strong interpersonal and professional demeanor.Ability to interact and communicate effectively in English and Spanish with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, presentation, and computer/pc skills.Ability to comply with standard operating practices.Other Requirements Workplace and Eligibility ConditionsIn-person attendance will be required for study-related activities including participant recruitment and retention efforts, project coordination, training, team meetings, and dissemination activities.
