Software Integration Engineer IV
Position OverviewTAP Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer to provide customer support for High Performance Computing (HPC) software and enable High Performance Computers to continue operating in support of the mission. The Software Integration Engineer will provide HPC services through enhanced sustainment capabilities, supporting multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and SPD servers. This position will support a range of UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems, desktop applications, servers, and networks required to support mission operations.Key ResponsibilitiesIntegrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software within a heterogeneous operating system environmentProvide sustainment and operational support for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems and softwareSupport multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and SPD serversTroubleshoot complex system and software issues using structured troubleshooting methodologiesInstall and configure HPC GOTS scheduler and resource management softwareSupport Linux and UNIX-based environments, including Red Hat, CentOS, and SUSEDevelop and maintain Linux shell scripts using various shell environmentsSupport configuration management processes and toolsCompile and support software utilizing the GCC compilerSupport multi-threaded and parallel processing softwareDevelop and maintain software using Python and object-oriented programming languagesSupport HPC technologies and infrastructure including HPE, Lustre, VMware, Salt, NVIDIA, InfiniBand, Mellanox, Slingshot, Slurm, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, WEKA, Juniper, and AristaRequired QualificationsActive TS/SCI clearance with appropriate polygraphBachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrable experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment; or thirteen (13) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degreeDoD 8570 IAT II-level certificationExperience with Linux shell scriptingExperience with Red Hat, CentOS, and SUSE operating systemsExperience with Python programmingExperience with object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, or JavaExperience with multi-threaded software and parallel processingExperience with GCC compilerExperience with configuration management toolsExperience with HPC GOTS scheduler and resource management softwareDemonstrated structured troubleshooting skillsExperience with Perl or JavaScriptWorking knowledge of CORBA and J2EECompensationThe anticipated salary range for this position is $165,000–$180,000, based on relevant experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors. The compensation range provided is a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.Clearance RequirementThis position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with appropriate polygraph.
