Construction Inspector

We are seeking a full-time Construction Inspector with a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in the construction field or a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or a closely related field and at least 1 year of experience in the engineering or construction fields to join our growing office in Middletown, NY. Job duties will include but not be limited to traveling to project sites throughout the Hudson Valley; monitoring construction operations performed by contractors and their subcontractors; observing the collection of samples and field testing performed by certified testing agencies; utilizing field testing equipment to confirm compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards; reviewing approved plans, specifications, and submittals for inspection requirements; following inspection requirements in accordance with applicable codes and the approved plans and specifications; preparing daily field reports and inspection reports and following procedures; and communicating with project managers, project designers, contractors, outside agencies and clients as required. Daily travel will be required. The ideal candidate will be versatile, willing to take on new challenges and team-oriented.
