The nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerform critical assessments and interventions for patients within the PCU.\nAdminister medication and monitor patient responses, including cardiac drips and insulin drips.\nTroubleshoot medical equipment such as bipaps and wound vacs.\nEngage in hourly rounding on days and every 2-hour rounding on nights.\nEnsure effective communication with patients and staff, maintaining updated communication boards.\nProvide care for patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and chest tube insertions.\nAssist with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tube insertions.\n\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n\nValid RN license with ACLS and BLS certifications.\nExperience with EKG rhythm interpretation and peripheral IV skills.\nMinimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar setting.\nFamiliarity with peritoneal dialysis, stroke, and post-cardiac cath care preferred.\nExcellent critical thinking skills and teamwork abilities.\n\n\nWhy ARMStaffing?\nAt ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
