Financial Controller
A dynamic and hands-on Financial Controller is needed to lead and execute core accounting operations across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is comfortable taking ownership while balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day execution.The Controller will oversee key accounting functions, manage both in-person and remote teams, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This position requires a leader who can effectively coordinate across distributed teams and adapt to ongoing process improvements, including centralized accounting initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and support accounting operations across general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll functionsLead the period-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial recordsReview account reconciliations and validate supporting documentation for accuracy and completenessPrepare and deliver internal financial reports and summaries for leadership reviewEvaluate and approve filings and documentation submitted to external regulatory bodiesServe as a point of contact for audit-related inquiries, including both internal and external stakeholdersAuthorize disbursements and oversee cash-related controls as neededContribute to annual financial planning and budgeting effortsProvide leadership, guidance, and performance management to accounting staff across multiple locations (including remote team members)Drive process improvements and support initiatives related to centralizing accounting operationsCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with organizational objectivesPerform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational needsQualificationsDemonstrated experience leading accounting teams, including mentoring and developing staff in both remote and on-site environmentsStrong understanding of financial accounting principles and relevant reporting standards (e.g., GAAP)Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organizationExcellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detailEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact across all organizational levelsComfortable working in a hands-on environment with both strategic and operational responsibilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting systemsBachelor’s degree: Accounting or a related field preferred5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilitiesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environmentStrong organizational and time management skills
