Accounting Assistant

Job Description Position OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our daily operations. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting while also assisting with front desk responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Support:Assist with data entry for AP, AR, procurement and inventory managementDaily invoicing, basic financial transactions, and assist with monthly reportingMaintain and organize financial records and filesSupport the accounting team with administrative tasks as neededReception & Administrative Duties:Greet and assist visitors in a professional mannerAnswer and direct incoming phone calls and emailsHandle incoming/outgoing mail and deliveriesOrder office suppliesMaintain a clean and organized front office area QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred)Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyCompany DescriptionOur 90 year old third generation family business manufactures roof coatings and cements to repair, restore and renovate commercial roofs.
