Head of Strategy - B2B Agency

Job DescriptionOur client, a growing agency, is hiring a Head of Strategy... You will start close to the work: owning customer accounts, building strategies, launching campaigns, running reviews, and getting deep into how we work. From there, you will partner directly with the CEO to turn that work into playbooks, systems, training, and a high-performing strategy team.Today, you would manage a team of about 3-5 strategists and media buyers. Over time, you will help grow this into a 20+ person strategy organization.This is a hands-on leadership role. You will not just manage the work. You will do the work first, define what great looks like with the CEO, and then hire and train others to do it at a high bar.You Will Partner With The CEO To DefineWhat great customer strategy looks like What humans should own today What our product should own today/do next How we scale strategy quality across more customers What You Will DoOwn customer strategy directlyLead onboarding and strategy for key customers Define ICPs, audiences, funnels, creative direction, testing plans, and success metrics Build, launch, and optimize LinkedIn and Google campaigns when needed Run strategy reviews and performance reviews with customers Give clear, direct recommendations that help customers win Build the strategy functionPartner with the CEO to turn early customer work into repeatable playbooks and operating systems Create standards for onboarding, campaign strategy, creative briefs, testing plans, and reporting Review strategy quality across accounts as the team grows Identify what strong strategists need to know, do, and improve Manage, hire, and train the teamManage a team of about 5 strategists and media buyers today Help grow the strategy organization to 20+ people over time Hire future strategists, media buyers, and strategy leaders Onboard and train new team members Coach strategists on customer strategy, performance analysis, campaign execution, and executive communication Raise the bar for speed, clarity, ownership, and results Improve the productPartner with the CEO, engineering, and the founding team to make our product better Translate real campaign work into AI workflows and product requirements Identify what the AI should automate, assist, or learn next Help build the feedback loop between customer work, campaign performance, and product development Who You AreYou have strong experience in paid media You are comfortable across many ad platforms, including B2B leaning ones like LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads You have managed, hired, trained, or mentored people before You can turn messy customer inputs into clear strategy You are analytical and can explain what matters and why You know how to build systems that help a team scale You move fast and create structure in ambiguity You are excited to build both the work and the team Why this role is specialYou are early.
