Join our team and become a part of a company that values quality, service, and people.Job OverviewThe inventory control specialist will be expected to complete all job functions listed below to ensure an accurate inventory of materials is maintained daily. Inventory and locations of raw materials and finished goods will be maintained throughout the entire process from receiving to the end finish goods being confirmed shipped. As this role supports the material movement and customer order fulfillment, a strong analytical skills and focus on accuracy is critical for a candidate to be successful in this role. This position will require the associate to maintain a close working relationship with all departments while keeping safety and food safety in the fore front of all actions and decisions being made in the plant.Responsibilities Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods to maintain accurate on-hand inventory balances and location integrity. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, complete adjustments as needed, and communicate findings to the appropriate departments in a timely manner. Verify material usage and inventory transactions for production lines to ensure accurate consumption reporting and system accuracy within the ERP platform. Maintain accurate inventory records throughout the full material flow process, including receiving, storage, production, transfer, and shipping activities. Monitor lot-controlled inventory to ensure traceability, product rotation, proper location assignment, and compliance with company inventory control procedures. Reconcile ERP inventory balances with third-party warehouse records and partner with internal teams and external providers to resolve variances efficiently. Create, review, and process inventory transfers between the plant and third-party warehouses while ensuring all documentation and system transactions are accurate and complete. Complete sales order “Confirm Shipment” using the ERP module to manually pick lot-controlled items to each respective sales order. Upload completed shipping documents to the Accounts Receivable team to support timely invoicing. Use scan guns, ERP tools, and inventory reports to track stock status, confirm transactions, and maintain accurate item, lot, and location data. Support month-end, year-end, and audit-related inventory activities by assisting with reconciliations, reporting, documentation review, and count validation. Communicate shortages, overages, damaged product, and transaction errors promptly to help prevent production interruptions and customer service issues. Maintain effective working relationships with operations, warehouse, accounting, quality, and other departments to support efficient material movement and order fulfillment. Follow all company policies, safety standards, food safety requirements, and quality expectations while performing inventory control responsibilities. Perform other related duties as assigned to support inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer order fulfillment Qualifications Previous inventory or logistics experience preferred. Experience with utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) Ability to safely operate a forklift. Utilization of scan gun Advanced problem-solving, math and analytical skills Efficient verbal and written communication skills Detail Oriented and adamant about accuracy Understanding of Inventory control procedures Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40 LBS repetitively Employee will be on their feet up to 10 hours a day Work Enviornment: Accustom to working in a cold environment Maintain a safe and clean work environment
