Ability Health and Rehabilitation, LLC Job Description Job Title:Peer Support Qualifications: The Peer Support Specialist is anindividual who is grounded in their own mental health recovery. Theywork one on one to support other individuals on their journey throughthe recovery process. Through utilizing their own personal recoveryexperiences, peer supports work towards developing authenticpeer-to-peer relationships. Building on the foundation of relationshipand shared experience, peer supports empower their peers to set andreach their own goals for recovery. They offer support in learning andpracticing new skills, building natural supports and resources in thecommunity, engaging in their own self-directed recovery process,modeling recovery and resiliency tools and skills, and supporting themin advocating for themselves across environments. Minimum Eligibilityand Qualifications: The position requires a minimum of certification asa Peer Support Specialist through the State of Idaho and high schooldiploma or GED and lived experience. CPR certification, or must obtainwithin 90 days of hire. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide consistencyand support to promote personal progress and accountability. Modelpersonal responsibility, self-advocacy, and hopefulness by selectivelyusing self-disclosure in telling one\'s personal recovery story anddemonstrating how a belief in oneself is maintained. Empower clients toproblem solve and find their own solutions. Teach clients how tonavigate a variety of community based services and organizations. Assistclients in identifying strengths and readiness to actively pursuerecovery goals. Use several methods, client centered, to move throughthe process of setting and reaching recovery goals. Maintenance ofelectronic client files in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies andprocedures. Completion of progress notes and progress reports in atimely manner. Fully participate in mandatory clinical supervisionmeetings as required by agency. Compliance with confidentiality policyas it applies to protection of clients\' rights. Collaborate with allmembers of the treatment team in regards to the clients\' strengths andrecovery goals. Follow all mandated reporting requirements for childrenand vulnerable adults. Strict adherence to Idaho Certified Peer SupportSpecialist Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct . Maintain anonjudgmental approach, use effective listening, eye contact,professionalism, and positive interactions at all times.
