Construction Superintendent

Job Title: Construction SuperintendentJob DescriptionThe Project Superintendent is accountable for coordinating project sites, scheduling subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring site safety, quality, and productivity. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with the entire project team and overseeing the project from start to finish. Initial responsibilities include preparing the area by adding a road, sanitary sewer line, and other site work, followed by focusing on the building's construction.Responsibilities+ Oversee on-site execution of work, ensuring adherence to contract documents, quality standards, and project schedule.+ Foster strong collaboration with project stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.+ Ensure compliance with all safety protocols by conducting orientations and inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing safety plans.+ Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety through consistent behavior and leadership.+ Monitor and manage the general conditions budget to support the financial success of the project by controlling and reducing costs.+ Prepare and maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports and project diaries.+ Participate in owner meetings to provide updates and address project needs.+ Secure necessary permits, approvals, and inspections from governmental agencies and utility providers.+ Lead the preparation and completion of punch lists and closeout documentation.Essential Skills+ 5+ years of experience as a Construction Manager/Site Superintendent supporting ground up, industrial, and/or data center work.+ Experience with precast and tilt-wall projects.+ Site work experience including infrastructure road work, storm system, and sanitary sewer.+ Proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam software.+ Experience creating look ahead schedules.+ OSHA 30 certification.+ CPR/AED/BBP and First Aid Training.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience with industrial construction, construction management, and site development.+ Familiarity with scheduling, blueprint reading, safety protocols, and subcontractor management.+ Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.Work EnvironmentThe office is located in Oak Brook, IL, featuring a beautiful, recently renovated space. Initial training and orientation will take place here for the first 1-2 weeks. The project is located in Dekalb, IL, where the candidate will be expected to work long term due to the project's extended duration.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Brook, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52.88 - $72.12/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
