POSITION DESCRIPTIONTitle: Roll-off Truck DriverDate: 01/10/2024Reports to: Transportation ManagerSupervisory responsibilities: NoClassification: NonexemptStatus: Full-timePOSITION SUMMARY:The roll-off truck driver position is responsible for roll-off collection services to ensure that various materials are transported and disposed of in an appropriate manner.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Operates heavy duty commercial trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-offsPerforms required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reportsProvides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operationsMaintains all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programsMaintains and protects all propertyInforms on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehiclesMaintains various records and/or logs as needed per DOT regulationsFuels truck at the end of each workdayPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Have a valid Minnesota CDL Class A or B driver's licenseAbility to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid health card and licenseAbility to lift up 40 poundsDriver must be 21 years old per DOT.Education and/or experience:High school diploma or GEDMust have a clean driving recordCompetencies:Reasoning or problem-solving skillsProfessionalismCustomer service skillsDecision MakingLeadershipTime ManagementProfessional attitudePunctualityWORK CONDITIONSOutdoor environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions; work with and around heavy machinery; exposure to dust and fumes from motorized equipment; exposure to noise, odors and gases; exposure to heavy traffic conditions, possible exposure to toxic chemicals.PHYSCIAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
