Journeyman Systems Engineer II with Security Clearance

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and the abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data Description:Responsible for supporting the development, documentation, integration, and testing of SOF communication systems.Responsibilities encompass the development and analysis of system requirements, specification of development and test procedures, execution of system and subsystem integration and testing, creation of system and training documentation, and performing formal system acceptance testing.Develops, integrates and assembles complete communications 'systems of systems' to support US Special Operations Forces (SOF)Leverages previous projects and tasks to develop new SOF communication system requirements, capabilities, and implementationsRecommends equipment, services and capabilities that cover the full scope of SOF communications systemsAssists with the integration of SOF communications systems into the SOF operational architectureProvides research, analysis, and design recommendations on tools and services that enhance the implementation and sustainment of SOF communication systemsIdentifies solutions for SOF communications operations support in austere operating environmentsProvides support to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve communications hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective or end-of-life components when necessaryUtilizes software and hardware tools to diagnose and identify complex problems and factors affecting SOF communications system performance Job Requirements Experience:Experience conducting the systematic translation of product requirements into total systems solutions that adhere to technical, schedule, and cost constraintsEngineering or technical experience working with military or SOF communications systemsExperience performing systems integration of SOF communications solutionsExperience developing design documentation including hardware and software architectural, functional, and interface descriptionsAbility to perform requirements analysis and verify the validity, traceability, and testability of existing requirementsExperience performing functional analysisExperience developing system architectures, mechanical designs, and electrical designsExperience conducting trade studies and analyses for product selectionStrong writing and communication skillsAbility to work closely with test teams to facilitate systems integration, verification, and testSelf-starter with a strong desire to solve complex problems and learn new skills and technologies Desired Qualifications:Ability to define systems processes, interfaces and architectures including design and reverse engineering where necessarySolid understanding of the application of Systems Engineering principlesExperience generating artifacts to be used during design reviewsGeneral USSOCOM experienceFamiliarity with cybersecurity practices and procedures Education:Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or other related technical discipline Security Clearance:Must have an active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or eligibile to obtain oneMust be a U.S. Citizen Location:WOLF (Webster Outlying Field) in St. Inigoes, Maryland Prescient Edge is a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) founded as a counterintelligence (CI) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) company in 2008.
