General Manager (GM)O’Malley Sports & Ice Management Group Anchorage, AlaskaAbout the RoleO’Malley Sports & Ice Management Group oversees multiple ice, sports, and recreation facilities across Anchorage. We are seeking a General Manager to provide overall operational leadership and ensure all facilities and business units perform at a high level.The General Manager leads operations and performance across multiple sports and recreation facilities, overseeing several Facility Managers and a large, multi-level team supporting events, operations, and guest experience.What You’ll DoOperational & Business Unit LeadershipOversee all facilities and business units across the organization Lead and support Unit Managers in driving operational and financial performance Review and monitor P&L statements across business units Approve labor budgets and monitor operating expenses Ensure all facilities operate safely, efficiently, and within budget Facility Operations OversightEnsure facilities maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer experience Monitor overall facility utilization and performance Ensure staffing aligns with user schedules, operational needs, and programming demands Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements across locations Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop Unit Managers and key staff Partner with HR on hiring, performance management, and terminations Build a culture of accountability, communication, and operational excellence Cross-Functional CoordinationOversee and align centralized support functions, including scheduling and AR/AP Ensure smooth coordination between operations, billing, staffing, and maintenance Resolve operational challenges and conflicts across facilities Vendor & Contractor OversightManage relationships with vendors (maintenance, IT, property management, etc.) Ensure third-party partners deliver consistent, high-quality service What Success Looks LikeFacilities operate smoothly with minimal owner involvement Unit Managers are strong, proactive leaders Budgets are met and costs remain predictable Operations are consistent across all locations Issues are identified early and resolved quickly Qualifications5–10+ years of leadership experience in operations, facilities, or multi-site management Strong financial acumen (budgeting, P&L oversight) Experience leading managers and multi-location teams Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to drive consistency across multiple sites Experience in sports, recreation, or facility operations is a plus Work Environment & ExpectationsFull-time, salaried position On-site presence required across multiple Anchorage facilities Nights and weekends may be required based on operational needs Why Join O’Malley Sports & IceHealth Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Sick Leave Holiday Pay Flexible Scheduling Facility Perks Growth & Stability This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building structure, improving operations, and supporting a growing organization.
