The medical center is a Level I Trauma Center and Joint Commission Accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center. The department currently has one stroke neurologist, two endovascular neurosurgeons and 4 advanced practice providersPractice Details:Predominately consult hospital practice with some clinic. Stroke call shared with stroke neurologists. 4 APP’s to support the stroke serviceTelestroke services to regional locations1000 stroke codes per yearNeurohospitalist coverage for general neurology service. Neuro ICU staffed by neuro-intensivistsWork in collaboration with colleagues in neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neuropsychology, and physical medicine and rehabilitationObtain an academic appointment at University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences with an opportunity to collaborate with basic scientists and to educate medical students and residentsNeurology Residency with 3 residents per yearServing 1 million patients over 200,000 square miles across ND and MN. Metro area population is 240,000The neurology department consists of 17 neurologists and 8 Advanced practice providers serving neuromuscular disease, epilepsy, neuro-ophthalmology, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, headache and stroke.
