High School Academic Tutor
Position Overview
We are seeking knowledgeable and dedicated High School Academic Tutors to provide comprehensive academic support across a wide range of U.S. high school subjects and standardized exams. The ideal candidate is able to teach one or more core academic subjects and/or test preparation courses, adapt instruction to individual student needs, and help students achieve measurable academic progress.
Tutors may work with students in one-on-one or small-group settings, supporting coursework reinforcement, homework assistance, exam preparation, and advanced previewing of upcoming material.

Honors-level courses
World Languages (Optional, based on expertise)
Spanish, French, or other languages
Standardized Test Preparation
Tutors may teach one or more of the following exams based on expertise:
SAT (Math & English)
PSAT
ISEE
SSAT
AMC 8 / AMC 10 / AMC 12
TOEFL / TOEFL Junior
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring aligned with student academic goals
Reinforce school-taught concepts and support homework completion
Prepare students for quizzes, exams, and standardized tests
Help students preview upcoming topics to build confidence and readiness
Develop personalized learning plans and instructional strategies
Track student progress and provide clear, actionable feedback
Communicate professionally with students, parents, and academic staff
Maintain a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred for advanced subjects)
Strong content knowledge in one or more high school subjects and/or standardized exams
Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
Passion for education and student success
Availability to teach evenings and/or weekends (based on student demand)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching AP or Honors courses
Proven results in standardized test score improvement
Experience working with international students or ESL learners
Bilingual abilities are a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
