Asssitant Manager-Custom Processing

Hosokawa Custom Processing Services offers custom processing (milling, size reduction, etc.) for Chemicals, Minerals, Polymers, and Plastics at our new, state-of-the-art facility in Goldsboro, NC. The Team specializes in process development - helping identify the most efficient solutions for batch processing to long-term manufacturing. This position will oversee daily plant operations, production scheduling, and staff supervision. This role ensures customer orders are processed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and regulatory programs including OSHA, ISO 9001, and DHA. Essential Duties: · Supervise daily operations, production scheduling, and personnel activities. · Coordinate receiving, processing, packaging, and shipping of customer materials. · Ensure cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination between product runs in compliance with DHA requirements. · Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure operational reliability. · Verify quality control procedures are followed; issue Certificates of Analysis upon project completion. · Assist with project scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control across NJ and NC sites. Basic Qualifications: · High School Diploma or GED. · Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or processing environment. · Minimum 2 years of experience operating or maintaining process equipment. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications: · Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment. · Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and performing equipment maintenance. · Experience supporting safety audits, ISO documentation, or maintenance programs. Physical Requirements: · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. · Occasional climbing of ladders to service or inspect equipment. · Must wear required PPE (masks, gloves, safety glasses, face shields) as needed.
