Chef – Mobile Catering & Events

We’re seeking an Executive Chef who can lead with confidence, execute high-volume catering with precision, and keep cool under pressure. If you love the rush of big events and have a passion for great food, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do:
Lead all kitchen operations for off-site catering events, from prep through service
Oversee menu execution, food quality, and presentation standards
Manage and motivate the culinary team for smooth, efficient event execution
Load, transport, and set up food and equipment at various event venues
Drive a box truck to and from events as needed
Maintain ServSafe standards and ensure a clean, compliant kitchen environment
Collaborate with management on menu planning, logistics, and event details
As a contracted Caterer at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway you will run one of the four kitchens we have at IMS, hours vary from day to day but expect longer than normal hours during race seasons.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef (catering or large-event experience highly preferred)
ServSafe Certification (required)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
Ability to drive a box truck for event deliveries and setups (required)
Flexible schedule — must be available for early mornings, long days, evenings, and weekends
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Positive, can-do attitude and ability to stay composed under pressure
Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,300.00 per week
