Job Type –Contract to HireLocation – Hybrid in Dallas, TX, Miramar, FL, Minneapolis, MN, Seattle, WA or Atlanta, GARequirements - GC holder or USC requiredWe are recruiting for a Full Stack Engineer II – Edge & Observability to join our client company’s Digital Foundations team, the tip of the spear for pioneering new solutions and shared tooling across Digital. The Edge & Observability team advances observability, SRE, edge performance, and AI-Ops practices that product teams can adopt across the organization. We are seeking a reliability-focused engineer with strong SRE, cloud-native, and observability experience who can turn production telemetry into meaningful engineering action. This is a hands-on role focused on improving reliability, performance, resiliency, and production readiness across distributed platforms.Responsibilities:Improve reliability, performance, resiliency, and production readiness across distributed web platforms.Use observability and performance data to identify opportunities and prioritize engineering improvements.Implement SRE practices including SLOs, error budgets, incident management, resiliency, and operational excellence.Leverage Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, RUM, and production telemetry to drive engineering decisions.Support edge/CDN capabilities including caching, routing, security, and performance optimization.Work with Micro Frontends, Module Federation, BFF, and domain-oriented architectures.Build and maintain AWS cloud-native solutions using Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automated operational controls.Apply agentic tooling to AI-Ops, SRE, and operational workflows.Partner with product teams to establish reliability and observability patterns and provide technical thought leadership.Participate in a scheduled support rotation from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Support is not on-call and is handled through internal support channels.Requirements:4–6+ years of software engineering/SRE experience preferred, with flexibility for candidates demonstrating exceptional technical depth.Strong SRE experience supporting large-scale distributed web platforms.Proven experience using agentic or AI-assisted tooling for AI-Ops, SRE, or engineering workflows.Enterprise observability experience with Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, or similar; Dynatrace preferred.Experience with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, RUM, and production telemetry.Experience with edge/CDN technologies such as Fastly; similar providers are acceptable.Strong knowledge of SLOs, error budgets, incident management, resiliency engineering, and operational excellence.AWS or comparable cloud experience, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automated operational controls.Experience with MFE, Module Federation, BFF, and domain-oriented services.Ability to translate telemetry and performance data into prioritized engineering actions.Strong critical thinking, ownership, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.What Strong Experience Looks Like:Uses observability data to drive engineering decisions, not simply build dashboards.Guides teams in adopting SRE practices and improving operational maturity.Understands application, platform, edge, and cloud considerations in distributed environments.Proactively identifies reliability and performance opportunities and influences teams through evidence.Embraces emerging agentic tools for AI-Ops and helps establish scalable engineering practices across Digital.
