A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Registered Nurse- Corrections. This will be full time. Pay Rate: $45.00-47.00 an hour paid weekly Shifts available: 5x8 hour shifts per week - 2pm-10:30pm, includes every other weekend Benefits : available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment Key Responsibilities: Provide professional nursing care to inmates in a secure correctional facility. Conduct comprehensive health assessments upon inmate intake and during ongoing care. Monitor chronic and acute medical conditions, documenting findings accurately in medical records. Identify and respond to medical emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions and collaborating with medical personnel. Administer prescribed medications according to facility protocols and state nursing regulations. Educate inmates on proper medication use, side effects, and adherence. Perform nursing procedures including wound care, IV therapy, vital signs monitoring, and first aid. Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate inmate care. Communicate effectively with custody staff regarding inmate health needs while maintaining confidentiality. Provide health education and guidance on chronic disease management, hygiene, nutrition, and wellness. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with Department of Corrections regulations. Ensure adherence to facility policies and participate in quality assurance and infection control audits. Provide nursing care in a secure environment while following safety protocols. Observe and report unusual behavior, signs of self-harm, or health risks to appropriate staff.
