Position: Delivery Room RNLocation: Johnson City, NYJob Type: ContractGuaranteed Hours: 36Hours/per weekShift: 3x12 Night Shifts Duration: 13 WeeksPay Range: ($72.48-$83.64)/hourly ($2,609.24-$3,011.00)/weeklyJob Summary:The Delivery Room Nurse protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities; prevents illness and injury; and alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. The RN also advocates for the care of individuals and families. Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients while serving as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient needs. Educate patients and their families on health promotion and disease management, and administer medications safely using pharmacological knowledge and established protocols. Support effective resource utilization, including staffing, time management, and supplies, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Participate in Nursing Shared Governance through involvement in Unit Council and peer review initiatives, and engage in continuous professional development and required education programs. Apply evidence-based practices and integrate current nursing research into care delivery, support the onboarding and education of new staff and students, promote a safe and high-quality care environment, and perform additional duties as assigned.
