Field Applications Engineer - Server grade GPU
We are looking for a Field Application Engineer. Job responsibility includes providing technical support and guidance to customers, creating and delivering training materials, domestic and international travel for on-site support, collaborating with overseas teams, and stay updated to Server industry trends and technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and guidance to customers
Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept evaluations for prospective customers
Support pre-sales activities by assessing customer environments and requirements
Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal engineering/product teams
Reproduce and document customer-reported bugs or failure scenarios for escalation
Create and improve technical documentation and training materials
Manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Must be authorized to work in the US
2-3 years of server-grade hardware experience (troubleshooting/installation/deployment) or experience in related fields
Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role (e.g. technical support, sales)
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain and summarize technical information to non-technical audiences
Familiarity with Linux bash and other CLI languages
Familiarity with BMC’s ipmitool and redfish
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Server grade GPUs (NVIDIA, AMD) or HPC systems
Familiarity with RAID configurations or storage architectures
Knowledge of networking basics (VLANs, DHCP, IPMI-over-LAN)
Experience with scripting for automation (Bash, Python)
Mandarin understanding (reading and writing not required)
Working Conditions:
Domestic and international travel up to 20% for on-site support and project deployments
Must be able to commute to and from the workplace daily when not traveling for work
Ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours overtime
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
