Paint Shop Tech 1 - Day Shift
JOB SUMMARYThe Paint Shop Tech I is primarily responsible for either preparing surfaces for coating applications or post-finish processing of all painted parts. Assists the painters, team, and other departments as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Utilize hand and power tools to prepare surfaces for coating application and for post-finish processing of finished goods per our SOPClean, hang parts on racks, and move racks in and out of the paint booth to assist the painter as neededInspect parts for pre and post-paint application for quality controlPackage and box finished parts for shippingAssist other Paint Shop Technicians as needed to support production flowMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 6S standardsCommunicate questions or concerns to supervisors to ensure tasks are understood and completed correctlyProfessionally perform all duties, working well with others, providing and receiving feedback, and treating all team members with respectREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAttention to detail with the ability to see and become attentive to imperfections for quality purposesSelf-starter – ability to work with minimal supervisionDemonstrate best practices to follow all safe procedures and utilize all required PPEBasic knowledge of hand tools Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed work instructionsReliable and consistent attendance, including punctualityPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to move frequently throughout the work cell and shop floorAbility to lift up to 35 poundsAbility to stand, walk, and work up to 12-hour shifts, with occasional overtime as requiredWORK ENVIRONMENTManufacturing and paint shop environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, heat, dust, chemicals, and standard industrial conditionsRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes a respirator, safety toe shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and safety glassesRough Country is a Drug-Free WorkplaceRough Country LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and appreciates hard work and professional dedication, and rewards its team with a benefits package.
