About the role
We are seeking a Cloud Test Engineer to join our mission-driven Cyber Missions team, supporting the quality, reliability, and security of mission-critical cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will lead testing efforts for applications transitioning to or operating within AWS cloud environments, ensuring solutions are production-ready and meet mission requirements.
What you'll do
Lead and execute testing efforts for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Perform configuration, functional, integration, and regression testing for AWS-hosted applications.
Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated tests.
Perform both manual and automated testing to validate software quality and performance.
Validate application and infrastructure deployments using Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and DevOps tools.
Troubleshoot testing and automation issues while identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Create and manage defect reports and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Verify seamless integration and deployment into AWS production environments.
Analyze test results and system performance to ensure reliable, scalable cloud solutions.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
5+ years of Test Engineering experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline.
Four additional years of Test Engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
Experience developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and automated test suites.
Proficiency in manual testing, test execution, and analyzing test results.
Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving test automation issues.
Experience documenting defects and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
Experience with AWS cloud environments, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Familiarity with software integration, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.
Knowledge of web technologies and databases.
Experience designing and implementing automated testing solutions.
Ability to reproduce software defects, analyze system performance, and improve testing efficiency.
Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments supporting cloud-native applications
The pay range for this role is:
130,000 - 145,000 USD per year(Annapolis Junction, MD)
