Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Primary Purpose:Plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with their students' ability to derive full benefit from the educational program under the direction of the licensed supervisor.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in either speech-language pathology, audiology or both from an accredited college or universityValid license as a speech-language pathologist assistant granted by the Texas Department of Licensingand Regulation (TDLR)Special Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditionsAbility to instruct and manage student behaviorExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience:Previous experience as an SLPASISD Administrative Pay Grade 1; 192 days
