Hospitality experience is desired and a SMILE is required! Depending on the location, here are examples of the types of Foodservice Worker positions available: Culinary Team Members: Our Team Members start their Culinary Career learning the front and back of the Dining Services Industry. In a hospitality driven, multi dining outlet setting, you will perform duties to include plating, set up and tear down of café, restaurant, retail areas, or assist in kitchen to include prep, dish room, dry stock and perishable food inventories and sanitation. Must bring a strong work ethic, a SMILE and enjoy working in a TEAM environment Line and Prep Cooks: Prepare and present DELICIOUS meals and IMPRESSIVE presentations following our Executive Chef Menus. Ability to inventory and portion ingredients. Additionally, assist in kitchen to include prep, dish room, dry stock and perishable food inventories and sanitation. Experience as a cook or culinary schooling would be ideal but we willing to train the right person with a passion for food. Dietary Aids (Patient Food Service): Our Team of Dietary Aids ensure our patients and residents receive AMAZING in-room meals with unexpected service and smiles! Under the guidance of our Clinical Dietitian staff, our Dietary Aids ensure compliance with patient dietary instructions. Our servers assist with meal selection, tray set up, delivery and removal of food trays with strong focus on HOSPITALITY and demonstrating compassion and amazing service to our guest Patients and Residents. Learn more at Dailypay.com Job Description This position is extremely important to our food service department and your attendance when scheduled is critical. You will assist with all scheduled preparation, service, and sanitation of the dining operation. You will display and serve the daily menu according to direction consistently. Review menu with your supervisor at the start of each shift and adjust for change or special service. Prepare and set up all food and serve as directed ensuring proper temperatures and portion sizes. Ensure that all menus are posted in the proper areas and that changes to the menus have been communicated to the responsible individuals within proper time to act. After meal period service, break down and clean all service areas and equipment, ensuring proper sanitation and all items put in their proper storage areas. Observe students when they are working in the food service areas to ensure their safety, alerting their supervisors of any area of concern. Review with your supervisor any pre - preparation needed for menu service or special function completing your assignments in a timely manner. Prepare and serve and merchandise menu items in a manner that best enhances the products to the age level of our clients. Prepare and gather all items needed for snacks and breaks and ensure they are delivered to the proper areas. Before shift ends, review with your supervisor the next day's service so that you are aware of any special needs or production for menu service. Qualifications and Skills Must possess the ability read and speak English fluently and have an understanding of basic mathematics, as it is an essential part of your functions. Report for work at the scheduled time in proper form and must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision. Must have the ability to accurately prioritize work assignments for yourself in order to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet service needs. Must be able to lift 38 lbs. of weight and be able to place it at various heights for storage and service needs. Must be able to perform repetitive functions and repeated lifting, pushing, and carry items that weigh 38 lbs. When working in an environment that has equipment that may cut, burn or otherwise harm yourself or your staff, you must be aware of their safety and ability to perform in these areas, making you supervisors aware of any unsafe action or condition. Clean and maintain your work area at all times, scheduling special cleaning projects with your supervisor for down times.
