Human Resources Payroll Specialist
Position Summary: The Human Resources & Payroll Specialist is responsible for administering payroll using Paycom, employee benefits, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance activities. This role supports the employee experience while ensuring payroll and HR processes are completed accurately, timely, and confidentially. Primary Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including wage changes, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, PTO tracking, and final pay processing. Maintain payroll records and partner with Accounting to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation. Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, COBRA, FMLA, and workers’ compensation requests. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including background checks, drug testing, required documentation, and benefit/payroll setup. Support managers with employee relations, performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Track employee reviews, training compliance, and development plans. Serve as the primary contact for benefit vendors and support annual open enrollment activities. Prepare and submit documentation for 401(k) and workers’ compensation audits. Deliver HR/payroll communication and training to employees as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related experience preferred. 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll with Paycom, or a similar role. Experience processing payroll, maintaining confidentiality, and interpreting employment policies and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
