Accounting Manager: Be a playerAs an accounting manager at Engine Room, you perform a wide range of accounting functions for multiple clients.As a member of the Engine Room team, you exude our cultural ethos internally and externally. You play an active role in the growth and evolution of the firm. Here are the specifics:ResponsibilitiesReview your own work for accuracy and completeness. Sometimes you might review others' work, too.Process payroll and maintain recordsOn-board and off-board our clients' employeesPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations and bank reconciliationsMaintain fixed-asset recordsTake responsibility for business compliance, including preparing schedules for sales and business tax returnsPrepare schedules for audit supportClose general ledger every monthParticipate in budgeting and client on-boardingResearch and resolve accounting issuesMaintain appropriate accounting controlsProduce timely, accurate financial statements and regulatory reportsPerform month-end close activities, including accruals, equity roll-forwards, contract review, revenue recognition and morePerform other job-related tasks and projects when assignedSkillsSignificant experience in life scienceFluent in NetSuite and Bill.com. Ideally, also knowledge of Expensify, QBO and FloQast.You're excellent at solving complex accounting problemsYou communicate exceptionally well, whether writing or speaking.
