Job SummaryBrake press Operators at Martinrea Industrial are primarily responsible for the production of parts and assemblies that meet customer requirements in quality and output in a safe fashion.Required Education & ExperienceExperience with Metal Fabrication an assetAbility to read drawings, blueprints and specificationsAbility to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring toolsAbility to identify and change Brake Press toolsAbility to work independently or with supervisionCapable to lift up to 50lbs from ground to table levelMathematical aptitudeEssential Functions/Competency LevelMust work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Martinrea Industrial rules, policies and proceduresMust use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required by MartinreaMust ensure machine safety rules are followed (light curtains, guarding, etc.Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time providedAssure that 1st off/1st Part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirementsBend parts according to provided drawings and specificationsCompletion of data entry and/or paperwork as requiredProgram, set up Machines to meet customer requirements in output and qualityInterface with Quality and EngineeringMaintain proper Martinrea housekeeping standardsMust notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practicesAll other duties as assigned by Supervisors and ManagersResponsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance the OSHA.Ensure that your work environment is clean, tidy organized and a safe workplace at all times.Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook Work EnvironmentWorking in a plant environmentFrequent distractions and interruptionsMultiple demands, challenging, fast paced, team orientated environment, can be noisy Physical DemandsConstant standing, walking, bending and lifting (light to heavy) and climbingWarm/Cold temperaturesCommunication with Lead Hand, Supervisors and ManagementOvertime as required Health & SafetyMust work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and proceduresMust use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the CompanyBackground check and pre-employment drug screen required for employment opportunity.
