Release Train Engineer

Release Train Engineer (Rte)Randstad is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support a large-scale Agile transformation initiative in Washington, DC. The RTE will serve as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART), facilitating program-level processes and execution, driving continuous improvement, and optimizing the flow of value through the ART using various Lean-Agile tools and techniques. This role requires excellent coordination, communication, and coaching skills, along with proven experience guiding teams through PI Planning, execution, and alignment with enterprise strategy.Key Responsibilities:Facilitate PI PlanningPrepare ART backlog and logistics for Program Increment (PI) planningLead in-person, two-day PI planning eventsEnsure alignment with enterprise strategy and OKRsSupport PI ExecutionTrack ART flow metrics: velocity, cycle time, predictability, etc.Facilitate key ART syncs (Coach Sync, PO Sync, I&A, System Demos, etc.)Promote DevOps and continuous delivery practicesSupport backlog refinement and coordinate with other ARTsHelp Business Owners understand their role and define business valueCoach the ARTGuide Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Architects, and Business OwnersUse powerful questions to foster team self-discovery and improvementLead ART and team events in alignment with SAFe principlesOptimize FlowEstablish pull systems and flow metricsFacilitate value stream mapping and remove cross-team dependenciesContinuously improve flow of valueDrive Relentless ImprovementLead TeamHealth assessments and I&A eventsPromote built-in quality and collaborate with Lean-Agile transformation teamsAct as a Servant LeaderFoster a culture of openness, empathy, and shared leadershipEmpower teams in decision-making and problem-solvingRepresent the ART and deliver effective presentations to large audiencesRequired Certifications:SAFe Release Train Engineer 6.0Scaled Agile Practice Consultant 6.0AgilityInsights Facilitator CertificationRequired Skills :Basic Qualification :Additional Skills :This is a high PRIORITY requisition.
