Cosmetologist / Hairdresser / Hair Stylist

Overview We are a family-owned salon that has proudly been in business for over 20 years and we are actively seeking creative and hardworking cosmetologists with any experience level to join our talented team. Experienced cosmetologists will feel right at home in an efficient environment full of expression and professionalism, while newer stylists will have a comfortable place to perfect their craft and begin their career confidently. Responsibilities Consult with clients to understand desired styles, concerns, and hair history. Recommend styles, cuts, and treatment to suit face shape, hair type, and lifestyle. Perform chemical services such as coloring, highlighting, and perming. Cut hair into any style or length a client may request. Wash, style, and finish hair. Mix and apply hair color and chemical solutions safely and accurately. Use tools (shears, razors, clippers, flat/curling irons, blow dryers) properly. Clean and thoroughly disinfect tools, stations, and equipment according to state regulations. Follow health, safety, and infection-control standards. Use protective equipment and perform patch tests when required. Provide professional, friendly service to build client trust and retention. Handle client feedback and concerns calmly and professionally. Maintain organized client records and service notes. Commission-based employees must also accurately keep track of the services performed and payments received. Maintain a clean and organized salon environment. Requirements Candidates must be trustworthy, hardworking, and dedicated to delivering the highest standard of service. Compliance with state board laws and salon policies. Maintain a valid cosmetology license. Qualifications Valid Cosmetology License (Required) Compensation Pay varies. Both commission-based employment and booth rental available.
