Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of our organization in Long Beach, California. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can oversee accounting processes, ensure compliance with financial standards, and contribute to strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing teams and delivering accurate financial insights to support organizational goals.Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, tax accounting, and cost analysis.- Prepare and review financial reports to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.- Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting systems to provide accurate financial projections.- Coordinate and oversee internal audits to ensure adherence to established procedures.- Lead and mentor the accounting team by recruiting, training, and evaluating staff performance.- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to secure the organization's financial assets.- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes and reconciliations.- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial reporting and improve operational efficiency.- Stay updated on industry trends and participate in development opportunities. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with proven leadership or supervisory experience.- Strong knowledge of month-end close, general ledger management, and financial statement audits.- Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.- Excellent organizational and communication skills.- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.- Certification, such as CPA, is preferred but not required.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
