Payroll and HR Coordinator

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Process weekly payroll and pay benefits. Manage employees onboarding and offboarding. Conduct yearly reviews of employee files to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Track time off requests. Coordinate employee benefits, including medical, dental, and 401(k). Provide cross-training for accounting backup. Maintain Central’s internal contract list. Compile and format the "Central Way" and amend as directed. Format job descriptions uniformly and amend as directed. Keep the Employee Handbook updated as directed. Track and update employee salary, bonuses, and benefits quarterly. Handle recruiting and job posting duties as needed. Track and maintain company-issued property (e.g., electronic devices, fuel cards, company vehicles, licenses, training). Oversee travel bookings. Maintain and implement company policies and procedures. Ensure professional office appearance through light cleaning and replenishing office supplies. Ensure professional conference room appearance through light cleaning and replenishing refreshments and supplies. Schedule office maintenance (e.g., septic, plumbing, internet, phone). Coordinate Central-hosted parties. Manage birthday and work anniversary announcements. Manage errands, including post office, bank, and FedEx. Oversee office opening and closing tasks (e.g., lights, coffee pot, dishes). Check and distribute mail/packages. Track and manage alarm code distribution and changes. Answer phones and perform filing. Carry out other duties as assigned to meet company needs. General Responsibilities: Uphold and promote the organization’s mission and values. Maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with supervisors and team members. Adhere to company policies and procedures, and exercise sound judgment in all job functions. Qualifications and Skills: Proficient in payroll and HR practices, employment law, and software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and QuickBooks. Knowledge of accounting principles for AR/AP processes. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Capable of working independently and handling various office and administrative tasks.
