Job Overview
As a dedicated support associate, you will work closely with Ameriprise financial advisors to provide outstanding client service and support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Ameriprise financial advisors in servicing clients including preparing basic financial plans, conducting investment research and completing trades and transactions (money movement, new account opening, etc.) as described by the advisor.
Prepare and summarize client meetings by scheduling and confirming meetings, creating the agenda, and summarizing discussions with necessary follow-up.
Prepare and ensure new business paperwork is successfully submitted including preparing forms, obtaining appropriate signatures, preparing documentation to send to head office, tracking new insurance/annuity applications and coordinating rollovers.
Prepare for and coordinate marketing events, including creating marketing compliance documentation.
Provide general administrative duties such as answering the advisor's phone, processing expense management reports, preparing routine client correspondence, setting up client files, copying and new business correspondence and alerts.
Assist advisors in increasing their social media presence (Facebook & LinkedIn) with relevant and timely content.
Help clients enroll/servicing on various Ameriprise tools.
Required Qualifications
Willingness to pursue licensing certifications as needed (SERIES 7 and possibly State Securities, State IAR, State Insurance).
Willing to work evening hours: 8:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. (9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST).
Graduate in finance discipline (0-1 year experience or 1-year diploma is preferred).
Good communication skills.
Basic understanding of MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Exposure to financial products such as mutual funds, insurance, retirement services, etc. is an added advantage.
Must have an eye to detail with high accuracy levels.
Ability to meet strict timelines per the agreed SLAs for advisor practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interacting with advisors or U.S. business partners.
