Customer Service Representative - Commercial Lines Insurance

We are currently supporting our client in recruiting for an experienced Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to join their growing team. The right person will be self-driven, take ownership of their work, and take pride in developing strong client relationships while providing a superior level of service.This position plays an integral role between customers, carriers, and the internal team. The right person is confident in handling both servicing and quoting, is strong with the details, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills.Range for the position is $49,000 - $65,000K year pending experience. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Service and SupportRespond promptly to client and prospective client inquiries via phone, email, or in personAssist clients with policy-related questions, endorsements, and changesPrepare marketing submissions and new business quotesProvide accurate information regarding coverage, claims, and billingProcess Certificates of Insurance and ID card requestsPrepare pre-renewals and proposalsComplete required client account reviewsPolicy AdministrationProcess policy renewals, endorsements, bonds, and cancellationsHandle agency billing transactions and collect premiums prior to binding coverageMaintain accurate client records and documentationMonitor expiration reports and determine renewal or remarketing strategiesCollaborate with underwriters, producers, and team members to ensure seamless serviceClaims AssistanceGuide clients through the claims processCommunicate with insurance carriers to support timely claim resolutionDemonstrate empathy and professionalism during challenging situationsCross-Selling and UpsellingIdentify opportunities to offer additional coverage or products to existing clientsRecommend relevant policies based on client needsCompliance and DocumentationEnsure compliance with industry regulations and company policiesMaintain detailed records of client interactions and transactionsKeep licenses current and complete continuing education requirementsAdditional DutiesPerform special projects and duties as assigned by leadershipQualifications3–5+ years of Commercial Lines experience in an agency or brokerageActive Property & Casualty (P&C) licenseExperience with Applied Epic (preferred) or similar agency management systemAbility to both service accounts and independently quote/market businessStrong understanding of commercial coverages and policy structuresHighly organized with strong attention to detailSelf-starter who manages workload and priorities effectivelyTeam-oriented with strong communication skillsComfortable interacting directly with clients AA/EOE
