This opportunity is for specialized educators skilled in Special Education, working within K-12 settings. The role involves working in Sterling Heights, MI, in a contract position for the current school year.Two distinct positions are available:Position 1: This role is divided equally between two campuses. At Mason Middle School, responsibilities include managing a self-contained classroom for grades 6-8. At Maire Elementary School, the focus shifts to serving as a resource room teacher for students in grades K-5, supporting diverse learning needs.Position 2: This position is dedicated to serving students with Mild Cognitive Impairment at the middle school level, providing targeted instructional support and tailored educational strategies.Qualifications and Experience:Proven experience in Special Education, particularly with K-12 populations.Expertise in designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs).Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet varied cognitive and developmental needs.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.Familiarity with regulations and best practices in special education.Responsibilities:Develop and deliver individualized instruction aligned with students' learning goals.Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational standards.Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.This contract opportunity offers a chance to impact students' educational experiences positively while working with dedicated professionals in a supportive community.
