Job Overview Looking for an outgoing personality to serve customers at our grocery store and run cash register as needed! Part time. Must be available Sundays. Must be 18 years old or older with routine availability. We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to company policies. Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance the shopping experience. Assist with merchandising by organizing product displays and ensuring shelves are stocked appropriately. Conduct product demonstrations as needed to engage customers and promote new items. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and provide support during busy periods. Qualifications Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. Familiarity with stocking procedures and inventory management is beneficial. Experience in merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility is an advantage. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing outstanding customer service are essential for success in this role.
