Dietary Aide

We are seeking a reliable Dietary Aide to join our dining services team. The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting with food preparation, assembling patient trays, delivering meals, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen environment. The ideal candidate ensures that meals are served accurately according to diet orders and provides excellent service to our patients.Key Responsibilities:Carry out defined work routines with various dietary utensils, supplies, and equipmentEnsure timely meal and snack serviceHelp with the preparation and serving of snacks, salads, and dessertsCheck meal tray accuracy against patient menus and dietary restrictionsPrepare simple food items, salads, and snacksMaintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dishwashing area, and dining room, including cleaning equipment and sanitationEnsure all food handling follows safety and health standardsEngage with patients, providing friendly, high-quality customer serviceAssist in receiving and storing food supplies safelyComplete side work and other opening/closing responsibilitiesParticipate in departmental and in-service educational programsShifts are 4:30am - 3:00pm and/or 9:00am - 7:30pmRequirementsPrevious experience in food service, ideally in a healthcare or long-term care setting, is preferred but not requiredKnowledge of safe food handling practicesAbility to read and follow recipes and diet ordersMust possess or be in the process of obtaining a valid Nevada Food Handler CertificationBasic understanding of food service practices and nutrition preferredMust be able to lift up to fifty (50) poundsExcellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and co-workersAvailability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidaysNote: Pre-employment drug screening, to include testing for marijuana, is required upon job offerBenefitsBenefits are available the first of the month following just one (1) month of employment!Desert Parkway offers competitive benefits to include:Medical insuranceDental insurance Vision insurance 401K Retirement PlanHealthcare spending accountDependent care spending accountPTO Plan with holiday premium payDiscounted cafeteria meal planLife insurance (including plans for spouse and children)Short- and long-term disability (with additional buy-in opportunities)Pet InsuranceIdentity Theft Insurance
