Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to support new product development, design optimization, manufacturing execution, and customer-driven engineering solutions.The successful candidate will work closely with U.S.-based engineering and management teams located in Toms River, requiring daily communication via email, phone, and video conferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport assembly and fabrication projects from concept through production Review project requirements, engineering instructions, and technical specifications Manage engineering projects to ensure compliance with specifications, timelines, and cost targets Create engineering drawings based on specifications, customer requirements, or physical samples Develop new product designs from concept through working prototype and production release Update and convert existing engineering drawings and specifications (2D CAD to 3D modeling) Prepare regular project updates, technical reports, and management presentations Collaborate with customers and internal teams to solve engineering and manufacturing challenges Recommend design modifications to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency Perform additional engineering and technical duties as assigned Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering 7–10 years of mechanical engineering experience Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications Proficiency in CAD software, including 3D solid modeling using SolidWorks or equivalentAbility to evaluate customer needs and provide practical engineering solutions Experience recommending and implementing design modifications Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including: Vernier calipers MicrometersPin and Ring Gauges Dial indicators Optical comparators Surface plate inspection equipment Strong written and verbal communication skills Conversational English proficiency required Preferred QualificationsExperience in hot-side or cold-side commercial foodservice equipment or medical equipment manufacturing strongly preferred Understanding of manufacturing processes including: Zinc die casting Stainless steel fabrication Brass casting Precision machining Experience working with assemblies, sub-assemblies, and supplier/manufacturing coordination Exposure to global sourcing, cost reduction initiatives, or supply chain engineering is a plus
