Senior Software Development Engineer - Developer Productivity

Overview As a senior Software Developer on the Photoshop CI/CD Infrastructure team, you will own and advance automated build, test, and release systems at scale. You will design end-to-end infrastructure, drive production delivery, and reduce toil through intelligent automation. You will shape AI Factory patterns, integrate AI/ML for failure diagnosis and remediation, and influence across platforms and teams. This role offers high ownership, cross-team collaboration, and the chance to influence how Photoshop engineers build and ship software. ResponsibilitiesArchitect and deliver complex infrastructure end-to-end, from problem definition to production operationLead the AI Factory automation platform and integrate LLMs to diagnose failures and surface remediation signalsDevelop self-healing pipeline components, including flaky test detection and predictive build healthDesign and operate AWS-based CI capacity (Mac EC2, Auto Scaling, EBS, VPC, cost management) and hybrid on-prem/cloud orchestrationEstablish coding standards for pipeline tooling (Go, Python, Groovy) to improve consistency and maintainabilityLead code and design reviews, mentor peers, and drive architectural decisions with long-term impactIdentify and eliminate toil by automating recurring manual work and reducing on-call burdenRepresent CI/CD in cross-team discussions with platform, security, and product engineering stakeholdersInfluence best practices for AI Factory and cloud infrastructure beyond the Photoshop team Key requirements10+ years of software development with a focus on CI/CD, build systems, or developer infrastructureSelf-directed with proven end-to-end solution ownership from design to productionHands-on AWS experience building and operating CI/CD on AWS (Mac EC2, IAM, S3, Auto Scaling, VPC, cost management)AI/ML integration experience applying AI tools to automation (failure classification, anomaly detection, self-remediation)Proficiency in Python and Go/Shell for production toolingDeep experience with multi-platform build systems (Windows/macOS; iOS/Android a plus)Ability to establish norms and models for team-wide consistency and reduced toilExperience mentoring engineers and growing technical capabilityStrong debugging across complex, multi-system failuresleadership and mentoringcross-team collaborationsystem-level thinkingPythonGoShell
