About the RoleA well-established leader in the precast concrete and structural engineering space is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Florida. This role focuses on the cost-efficient design of precast concrete systems, components, and connections, supporting complex construction projects across sectors such as data centres, parking structures, multifamily, industrial, education, and commercial buildings. You will take ownership of engineering design activities from concept through erection, collaborating closely with project managers, drafters, production teams, and fellow engineers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a PE-licensed engineer with strong precast or structural experience who enjoys both independent responsibility and team-based project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & DesignPerform structural engineering calculations and detailed designs for precast systems and connectionsIndependently manage engineering design aspects of assigned projectsReview contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirementsResolve engineering design issues efficiently and independentlyAssist other engineers in solving complex design challengesReviews & Quality ControlReview and check engineering calculations and details prepared by internal teams and external consultantsReview erection drawings, shop tickets, and master shop drawings for accuracy and complianceEvaluate design costs against project estimates and recommend corrective actionsProject CoordinationAttend and participate in project meetings; lead coordination meetings when requiredWrite and review RFIsCoordinate closely with drafting/modeling, production, and construction teamsProduction & Field ExposureMaintain awareness of production processes through regular plant visitsComplete repair designs and details as requiredEnsure compliance with safety standards and engineering best practicesLicensing & ComplianceObtain licensure in additional states as requiredReview and stamp erection drawings, calculations, and repair details when assignedWhat We're Looking For3–7 years of relevant structural engineering experiencePrecast concrete experience strongly preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredBS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyProactive, self-motivated, and dependableStrong communication and documentation skillsComfortable working independently and collaborativelyWork EnvironmentPrimarily office-based with exposure to manufacturing and production environmentsPPE required when working in plant areasStandard business hours with flexibility during training or production integrationWhy This RoleJoin a stable, long-standing organisation with a strong reputation in precast constructionWork on technically challenging, large-scale structural projectsGain exposure across design, manufacturing, and constructionBe part of a collaborative, safety-driven engineering culture
