Restaurant Operations Manager / Restaurant General Manager
Summary/Objective
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant under the direct supervision of the unit General Manager. Operations Managers will play a key role in building the team, scheduling, coaching and managing staff. Operations Managers should operate with a “5 Pillars of Success” focus: Phone, Door, Music, Service and Kitchen Management.
Essential Functions

Guest service:
Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
Operational responsibilities:
Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.
Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured.
Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food and beverage quality and service.
Personnel:
Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
Assist with interviewing hourly employees. Help develop employees, coach and counsel, and when necessary, recommend terminations.
Assist with orientation and oversee the training of new employees.
Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan for your department. Prepare schedules and ensure your department is staffed for all shifts.
Financial:
Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, retail, entertainment and labor costs.
Assist with financials (invoices, reporting, P&Ls, projections) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Food & Beverage Safety:
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
Enforce consistent high quality of food/beverage preparation and service.
Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
Understand food, beverage, and retail costs.

This position manages all employees and operations in the unit.
Work Environment
Work will be performed in a very fast paced restaurant/bar environment. The work environment can be busy and the noise level can be loud. Hazards may include, but are not limited to wet floors, slipping, tripping and, hot and cold temperatures, and hazardous equipment.
Physical Demands
Position requires prolonged standing & walking (85%+ of work shift), bending, stooping, twisting, carrying food & beverage trays, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. Repetitive hand, wrist, body and leg motions and requires operating phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work within a minimum work requirement of 50 hours per week.
Travel
Some short-term travel may be required with this position.
Required Education and Experience
Four years of progressive experience in high-volume restaurant operations.
Solid working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with major concentration in Hospitality.
Prior experience as a General Manager.
Prior experience training, purchasing and managing budgets.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be 25 or older.
Must maintain applicable state Health/Food Handlers certification.
Must maintain applicable state Alcoholic Beverage certification.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must provide documents to complete/pass I9 E-Verification
Tribal Gaming Badge required for AL units
