Entry Level Structural Engineer

Responsibilities Actively support a team of structural engineers responsible for conventional design and design/build projects for water and wastewater clients. Perform progressively complex structural calculations and analyses as design develops. Work with designers to communicate requirements through drawings and models. Build a strong foundation in structural engineering fundamentals, including analysis and design of vertical and lateral systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Assist in evaluating structures and preparing plans, calculations, and cost estimates for a range of projects under the supervision of experienced engineers. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering. Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) licensure and desire to be on track to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) licensure. Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills. Strong communication (written and verbal), problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills. Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams). Must live within commutable distance from one of the offices listed. Preferred Experience Experience with structural design and basic structural systems in steel, concrete, and masonry. Experience with commercial structural engineering software such as RAM, STAAD, SAP2000, or similar general‑purpose finite element analysis and design software. Familiarity with industry drafting software such as AutoCAD or Revit. Salary The base salary range for this position is $66,900.00 to $101,200.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
