The DaVinci community will work together to ensure positive character development and build a strong foundation for continuous learning.Position TitleInstructional Coach & Advanced Academics CoordinatorReports ToDirector of Teaching and LearningPosition ObjectiveTo directly or indirectly assist and support students and teachers as it aligns with the mission, vision, pillars of DaVinci Academy. This position works primarily with teachers in grades 4-8.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the Instructional Coach are to actively work alongside teachers and administration to ensure that DaVinci Academy implements best practices and high-quality instruction in order to increase student engagement, improve academic achievement, and to close the achievement gap.The following is a non-inclusive list of responsibilities that may be part of an Instructional Coach assignment.Instructional SupportPartner with teachers to plan, implement, and refine high-quality, standards-aligned instructionModel effective instructional strategies, including differentiation and student engagement techniquesProvide non-evaluative coaching through observation, feedback, and reflective conversationsWork with teachers through observations and meetings to determine appropriate curriculum pacingSupport teachers in implementing best practices in curriculum, instruction, and assessmentEnsure teachers have resources and materials to better execute standards-aligned lessonsProvide guidance to teachers on differentiation strategies, enrichment opportunities, and instructional practices for advanced learnersData Analysis & Student AchievementAssist teachers in analyzing student data to inform instructional decisionsFacilitate data team meetings and guide goal setting based on student performanceSupport progress monitoring and intervention planningCoordinate and administer assessments to identify students for advanced academic programming; analyze results to support accurate placement decisionsCommunicate assessment results, placement decisions, and program information clearly with families and staffMaintain accurate records and documentation related to advanced academic identification and student progressMonitor the effectiveness of advanced academic programming and make recommendations for continuous improvementProfessional LearningDesign and deliver professional development aligned to school and district goalsSupport onboarding and mentoring of new teachersParticipate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)Stay current on research-based instructional practices and share with staffCollaboration & LeadershipCollaborate with the Instructional Leadership Team to support instructional prioritiesBuild trusting, respectful relationships with staffPromote a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practiceSupport school-wide initiatives and improvement plansCollaborate with teachers to support the academic and social-emotional needs of advanced learnersClassroom Environment & EquitySupport teachers in creating inclusive, culturally responsive classroomsPromote instructional practices that meet diverse student needsAssist with behavior and classroom management strategies that foster positive learning environmentsQualificationsValid Minnesota Teaching License, preferred Tier 3 or Tier 4, in relevant fieldAt least five years of teaching experience, preferably in intermediate or middle school gradesDemonstrate excellent oral and written communication skillsExperience using Google ClassroomCurriculum planning/alignment and instructional experienceExperience with differentiationWillingness to identify, interpret and follow school policies and proceduresShow initiative and function as a self-starterPhysical demands: able to stand for long periods of time.Position InformationSalary Range: The 2026-2027 salary range for this position is $42,024 to $79,568.00. Salary offers will consider the candidate's experience, education, skills, and DaVinci Academy's budget. Experienced candidates should expect a salary offer around the midpoint of the salary range.In exceptional cases, salaries exceeding the midpoint may be offered to attract candidates for hard-to-fill positions or those with specialized skills.
