Precision Etch Process Technician – MCP Manufacturing - $60k - $75k - Southbridge, MA We are seeking a detail-oriented Etch & Reduction Process Technician to join our team in the precision manufacturing of Micro Channel Plates (MCPs). In this critical hands-on role, you will perform chemical etching, cleaning, and hydrogen reduction processing of glass wafers in a cleanroom environment. Your work directly impacts the quality and performance of advanced MCP components used in high-tech applications. Key Responsibilities:Execute precise chemical etching, cleaning, and hydrogen reduction processes on glass wafers following detailed manufacturing proceduresOperate and monitor hydrogen reduction furnaces, including running controlled thermal cyclesHandle and store MCPs according to strict vacuum and contamination control protocolsPerform in-process wafer inspections and maintain accurate production documentationStrictly adhere to cleanroom protocols, safety standards, and hazardous material handling requirementsSupport production schedules while maintaining high standards for quality and process consistencyQualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (preferred)Experience in chemical processing, wet chemistry, acid etching, or cleanroom manufacturing is strongly preferredHands-on experience with thermal processing, hydrogen reduction, furnaces, or vacuum systems is a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow complex technical proceduresCommitment to safety, quality, and working in a controlled cleanroom environmentThis is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled individual who thrives in a precision manufacturing setting and wants to contribute to cutting-edge MCP production.
