Staff Nurse CMH ER, .9 FT, 7pm - 7am

Sign&dash;on Incentive:Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign&dash;on bonus of up to &dollar;15,000.Job Responsibilities:Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse when designated by unit assignment, considering factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost, and impactEducates patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resourcesUtilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to United Health Services policyShares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization including staffing, time management, supplies, and servicesComplies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and United Health Services policiesActively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practicesActively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completes all mandatory education requirementsIntegrates nursing research and current evidence into practiceProvides a supportive learning environment for new employees and studentsPerforms duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assignedPosition Qualifications:Minimum Required:A graduate of an accredited school of NursingCurrent NYS RN License or Valid NYS Limited Permit to practice as a GNPreferred:Bachelor of Science degree in NursingPrevious clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingProfessional certification in a related nursing specialtyRelevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assignedIND2
