Associate Veterinarian

Introduction Our client is a well-established animal hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team. This multi-doctor practice provides high-quality care for companion animals and welcomes both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who are seeking strong mentorship and a supportive clinical environment. Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 7:00am to 12:00pm, with Sundays closed. This is a full-time opportunity within these hours, and there are no after-hours requirements. The building has recently been updated, giving doctors access to modern facilities that support an efficient and enjoyable working schedule. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will examine and treat companion animals, conduct diagnostic testing, interpret results, advise clients on preventive care, perform surgery, prescribe medications, and provide guidance around end-of-life care. The position includes maintaining patient records and following all veterinary ethics and standards. This role is open to both new graduates and experienced doctors, with strong mentorship available and opportunities to gain extensive soft tissue surgery experience through work with the local animal shelter. Practice Details The hospital features an updated building equipped with four exam rooms, in-house laboratory capabilities, and a large surgical suite. The caseload includes wellness care, diagnostics, pharmacy services, and a wide range of medical and surgical needs, supported by a friendly and community-oriented practice culture. The hospital takes pride in offering high-quality veterinary care while supporting each doctor's professional interests and clinical development.
