The area provides a close-knit community atmosphere with lower cost of living and easy access to larger metropolitan areas.Facility:This healthcare system operates multiple locations providing comprehensive orthopedic services to the southeastern Kentucky region. The facilities feature modern equipment, dedicated OR staff, and strong support systems including hospitalist services and clinical medical assistants.Opportunity:Physician - Surgery - OrthopedicJob Details:• Provide 24-hour call coverage beginning May 11, 2026 with ongoing monthly coverage• Handle hospital call, surgery, and clinic duties on Wednesdays• Manage 10-15 orthopedic consultations per day• Treat various orthopedic cases including fractures and injuries• Work with hospitalist team for patient admissions• Utilize EPIC EMR system• Collaborate with clinical medical assistants in clinic and OR staff at hospital• Coverage spans two facility locations: Saint Joseph London Hospital and Baptist Health Corbin• Must have Board Certification in Orthopedics• Kentucky state license required• Residency and fellowship requirements must be met• BLS and DEA certification required during credentialing• Clean malpractice and background check required for emergency privileges• Must be available for full stretch of dates• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days with temporary privileges available• Average callback 4-6 hours per siteCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
