About the RoleWe're seeking an Application Developer to join a comprehensive, multi-year modernization initiative focused on replacing aging legacy systems and transitioning to a unified, cloud-native environment. This effort centers on building a modern, Azure-hosted pension administration system that integrates seamlessly with member and employer portals.This modernization addresses long-standing challenges — fragmented workflows, manual processes, limited scalability, and legacy stability issues — by introducing a modern technology stack including Angular, REST APIs, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Function Apps, Power BI, and a document management/process automation solution, to support scalable, secure, and efficient operations.What You'll BringKnowledge of modern application development frameworks, programming languages, and secure coding practicesKnowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including AgileKnowledge of business process analysis, functional design principles, documentation standards, user story development, and acceptance criteria definitionFamiliarity with pension software systems and related business rulesFamiliarity with legacy systems architecture, dependencies, technologies, and integration pointsSkill in all aspects of application development, including coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and pull request submissionSkill in developing, enhancing, and maintaining application components that meet functional and technical requirementsSkill in writing clear, actionable user stories and maintaining a prioritized backlogSkill in developing APIs, system interfaces, and automation workflowsAbility to deliver high-quality work with minimal defectsAbility to translate technical specifications into maintainable, production-ready softwareAbility to collaborate effectively with technical staff, analysts, testers, and project managersAbility to manage multiple development tasks and meet established timelinesAbility to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiencesRequired SkillsC# .NETWeb APIAngular 16+SQLAzure DevOpsGitComputer Science or MIS degree with 3–5 years' experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceWhat We Offer: Mostly remote workGreat work-life balanceAltruistic workCompetitive compensation and benefits incuding health, dental, vision, life and accident insurance, disability insurance and more!This is a long-term, multi-year contract engagement based in Oklahoma City, OK.Luna Data Solutions, Inc.
