Body CAD Engineer

Job Description:• Develop and release body-in-white and exterior body components using 3D CAD across concept, design, and launch phases.• Create and maintain detailed CAD models, assemblies, sections, and 2D drawings in line with design standards.• Support design feasibility studies, packaging assessments, and engineering trade-offs.• Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability, quality, and dimensional robustness.• Collaborate with CAE teams to address crash, durability, NVH, and structural requirements.• Support engineering changes, design updates, and configuration management in PLM systems.• Assist with prototype builds, virtual validation, and physical testing support.• Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.• Ensure adherence to cost, weight, timing, and quality targets.
