Stamping Press Operator-2nd Shift
Position Overview: This position supports department objectives by running a stamping press and working alongside press associates in accomplishing their daily tasks to ensure maximum productivity and job safety.Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:Assist Manufacturing Lead with press efficiency and productivity.Assist with preparation for start of work to ensure presses are readyPost all work orders at the end of working day for following dayEnsure safety standards are maintained in the press area.Notify Manufacturing Lead of any unsafe conditions or associates not performing work safely or productivelyEnsure dies are set up to meet production demand.Perform die setups on daily basisMaintain dies to ensure quick die setup changeoversEnsure press area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner.Maintain an organized environment in the press area throughout the dayEnsure daily clean-up of press areaEnsure scrap bins are emptied as neededEnsure bulk storage area is clean and organized at all timesAssist Lead with press room inventory.Conduct press room inventory monthly, quarterly, and yearly (as needed)Maintain an accurate physical count on inventory of all products at all timesMaintain Company quality standards in all press room activities.Observe quality of all production leaving the press areaNotify Lead of quality issues and assist with correction of production quality as necessaryEducation, Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:Two years of manufacturing experience using machinery, tools, and equipment.Working knowledge of metal stamping operations to include experience with automatic feed punch press lines, tooling, progressive dies, and quick die changes in presses up to 250 tons (preferred)Familiarity with data entry computer skills (preferred)This position requires forklift certification.
